1st September 2017 – 10th September 2017
The Torbay Sea Angling Festival 2017 is here! The 10-day long festival starts the 1st September and ending on Sunday the 10th September 2017. This year there will be more than 3250 anglers attending over the 10 day period.
While Torbay will be the heart of the Angling Festival with its sheltered waters. The actual fishing spans for miles out at sea, depending on where the angler has favourite spots to fish. The English Rivera said. ” The Eastward limit is Pinhay Bay at Beer and the Western limit is Bolthead at the mouth of the Salcombe Estuary. This means that you can fish the tidal estuaries of the rivers Exe, Teign, Dart and Kingsbridge. Boats fishing out of ports within this area can also fish the Festival. The event covers the prime fishing grounds in the South West and the specimens landed each year are exceptional.”
Many anglers have gathered many trophies over the years which they will all display on presentation night. But it’s not only trophies that are up for grabs! Cash prizes, of course, the anglers go for the main prize of £750!
It’s been a friendly competition for the many anglers that flock to participate it’s a brilliant holiday destination and things to for the whole family. Torbay Sea Angling Festival 2017 is proud to say their main sponsor this year is Shimano.
