It’s taken us almost a week to get over the fun and enjoyment of the Torbay Airshow 2016. Many of the holiday flats in Paignton were fully booked as 150,000 thousand of visitors converged on the English Riviera.
Our guests had the most wonderful time, some taking picnics to the beaches rather than coping with crowds nearer to the activities. From our vantage point on Paignton Sands, we watched the Red Arrows fly overhead in their normal spectacular style.
Watching the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team was breathtaking as were the Typhoons and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Aircraft
There was a small shower but it didn’t ruin the day as people got out there umbrellas and their kids just continued paddling.
The whole atmosphere of the Airshow was typically British on a traditional seaside holiday.
There was live music throughout the event and the Beer and Blues Festival in Stoke Gabriel was a huge success.
Paignton is always busy at this time of year but never more so than over the three days of the Torbay Airshow 2016. By all accounts, everyone had a fantastic time and of course, it has all contributed to the local economy.

So what’s happening this week?
It’s Torbay Carnival Week, or the Paignton Festival, as we call it now so all the holiday flats in Paignton are full to brimming again! Check out our blog next week for highlights from the Carnival or better still, take a break and join us! Whilst we are as busy as everyone else at this time of year, always give us a call in case we have any unexpected cancellations at the Bedford Holiday Apartments in Paignton.
