Beat the Tide
An event for all the family to watch is the Beat The Tide competition. Sandcastles are built on the beach when the tide is low and then the teams that built them have to stand on top of the sand castles as the tide comes in. The winner of the competition is the team that stands the longest and they are awarded the “Silver Shovel Trophy”.

In addition, there will be a variety of stalls selling souvenirs, arts, crafts and produce etc. Naturally all the other local shops and supermarkets will be open during the Regatta too.
