With fruit, vegetables, meat and fresh fish in abundance, it’s possible to celebrate the gastronomic delights at these Gastro Festivals in Paignton showcasing the amazing and excellent local produce from the South Devon area. Torquay, especially, hosts many special events that combine live food demonstrations, including the famous Torquay Food and Arts Festivals in the town centre. You will also find several continental type street markets where you can enjoy tastes and produce from France.

Garden Pizza Perfection – Occombe Farm Visitor Centre Preston, Paignton 27 July 2016
This foodie event is being held in a Yurt where you concoct your own pizza, decorate it with fresh herbs from their garden and then bake it in the farm’s clay oven – event being held between 12 – 3 pm.
Dartmouth Crab Festival – Dartmouth 7 August
This is the 5th anniversary of an amazing celebration of local crab, hosted by Angela Hartnett and Mitch Tonks – a must to visit for seafood fans.
Dartmouth Farmers’ Market – The Old Market Square, Dartmouth 9 July and 13 August
Discover a vast array of local produce at this Gastrofest, held every second Saturday of the month, from 9 am until 1 pm.
Brixham Fish Market Tours – 13, 20 and 27 July
If you would like to experience a different type of locally sourced fish, other than mackerel, salmon or cod, then you need to visit this Fish Market where there are over 40 different types of fish up for auction.
Kingswear Beer Festival – River Dart in Kingswear 15 to 17 July
This Beer Festival is organised by the Dartmouth Steam Railway, now in its third year. Come along and visit the stunning setting by the River Dart.
Teignmouth Farmers Market – 30 July and 27 August
Browse, taste and buy the delicious fresh produce sold by local farmers. What a healthy and fun way to support the community.
